Prof. Dr. Mehmet Aksoy is an important heart and vascular diseases specialist with many years of academic and clinical experience in the fields of cardiology and interventional cardiology. Graduating from Gaziantep High School in 1983, Aksoy studied at Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University Industrial Engineering and Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, earning the title of medical doctor in 1990. Aksoy completed his cardiology specialist training at Istanbul Siyami Ersek Heart Hospital and became a cardiology specialist in 1996.<\/p>\n
Continuing his professional life at Siyami Ersek Heart Hospital, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Aksoy took part in the establishment of the Department of Cardiology at Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine in 2000 and served as head of department. Receiving the title of associate professor in the same year, Aksoy became a professor in 2006. Throughout his academic career, he carried out many scientific studies in the field of cardiology and actively took part in national and international congresses.<\/p>\n
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Aksoy, who has more than 120 scientific publications, is a member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology. He has been deemed worthy of the \u201cYoung Researcher Award\u201d twice by the Turkish Society of Cardiology and once by the Cardiology Union of the Turkic World. Since 2017, Aksoy has been working at Medical Point Gaziantep Hospital, and by opening his own cardiology clinic in 2025, he continues his examination and diagnostic services there, while performing interventional procedures and inpatient treatments at Medical Point Gaziantep Hospital.<\/p>\n
