He completed his medical education in 1999 at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine. A distinctive aspect of his career is that he received specialization training in two separate surgical fields: he completed his Thoracic Surgery specialization at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and his Cardiovascular Surgery specialization at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine.
